Nonprofit Law Roundtable

In collaboration with the Nonprofit Pro Bono Project of the Erie County Bar Association, The Nonprofit Partnership presents an up-to-date examination of key legal issues that affect nonprofit organizations on Wednesday, July 25 from 8:30 to 10:30 am at Highmark Caring Place. Leading local attorneys will guide us through a look at intellectual property law, real estate law, and your legal FAQs. More information is available on our Education and Training page.

Local Nonprofits Engage the Future at our 2007 Nonprofit Leadership Forum

On Tuesday, June 26, over 100 leaders from the local nonprofit community gathered at Gannon University to hear Bill Craosmun, a futurist with Social Technologies, Inc. speak about the trends that will shape nonprofit management in the years to come. "Our population is aging. The divide between the haves and have-nots is growing. Popular culture is more diverse, more presonailized, and more interactive. Meanwhile, a culture of accountability, high ethical standards, and volunteerism grows in out midst. These trends will have powerful consequences for the nonprofit sector." The forum also featured a response panel comprised of local nonprofit leaders moderated by Peter Panepento.

The Nonprofit Partnership Launches The Story Project

As part of a national demonstration project on communicating the values of the nonprofit world with the Independent Sector, The Nonprofit Partnership launched The Story Project in April. By learning storytelling techniques and sharpening their marketing approach for different audiences, local agencies are creating and recording original stories that tell about their work in compelling ways. To be produced on websites, CDs, telephone systems, and to be played in the media, in waiting rooms, and on car stereos, these stories will revolutionize the way local organizations are reaching and educating their stakeholders. If you are interested in participating in the fall Story Project session beginning September 24, contact The Nonprofit Partnership to register.
